1) What makes you better than other companies doing this?
What differentiates myself from other consultants is my ability to
"wrap" technology around your business goals, not vice versa. To say it
another way: I understand business and I'm extremely competent in my
understanding of how to apply technology.
I save customers time and money because I can do in one day, what would
take another software developer 4 days. You don't have to pay me to research
your problems because it's likely I've seen them before. It takes me less time
to do what needs to done—and you can "sleep well" knowing it is done right the
first time.
"Done right the first time" is a big deal when it's your money involved.
Frankly, there are a lot of developers out there working with programming
experience only an inch-deep. I know, because I'm called in to fix their
creations after the business owner has already thrown $10K at the project.
If you aren't technical, I'll explain things in a way you can understand.
I don't make fancy speeches about what you need and use jargon you don't
understand. If I did, I wouldn't be doing my job. You should feel comfortable
asking me any questions.
Also know that compared to large consulting firms, I remain your main contact
for the duration of any project. I'm not just an assigned project manager,
I'm hands on. The buck stops here, with me.
2) What do your competitors say about you?
Large IT consulting firms may say I'm too small to fulfill your needs,
but that is a misnomer. I am an excellent software developer and can accomplish
in half the time what an assigned team of programmers can do. Plus, with me,
there are no layers of bureaucracy to reach me—I'm your main contact. I'm
hands on. I understand small business needs. And, because I am the owner of
my own company, I have a higher stake in your satisfaction. Your success
directly affects my brand and whether you would choose to work with me again.
3) What do your current customers say about you?
I would think they'd say I'm honest, innovative and responsive.
I return phone calls, which many customers appreciate. Read more in my
testimonials.
